Do you lie awake at night wondering, “Am I doing this right? Am I making enough of a difference? What does it say about me if I can’t keep this up?”
Social impact leaders have internalized the idea of doing more with less, showing up no matter what, and holding it all together for the cause. While aspirational, this style of leadership is not only unsustainable but can create real barriers to the work. In this session participants will explore the ways that their values, sense of self, and beliefs about performance shape their leadership approach in social impact work.
Learning outcomes:
1. Participants will be able to identify how their values, sense of self, and beliefs shape their current approach to leadership
2. Participants will be able to articulate the ways perfectionism is a barrier to effective leadership
3. Participants will leave with a starting point for building more self-trust in their leadership
This session is designed for executives, directors, and managers and draws from Tessa’s book, Do Your Part: Bold Sustainable Leadership for Social Impact Leaders in a Time of Polycrisis.
